Come celebrate the 25th annual fall festival staple at the fest's new location, Garfield Park. Local foodie group Eat Here Indy teamed up with their favorite local restaurants, chefs, and brewers for a one-day festival that is sure to be remembered. Expect great music, good food, a hot wing eating contest, and fun activities for you and your crew. This free, family-friendly public event will take place at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in downtown Indianapolis.
Regional artists will showcase their work and food trucks will be available. Families will enjoy spectacular seasonal horticulture displays, pumpkin painting, art making activities, and a designated play area. At night, the Newfields campus transforms into a spooky not scary haunted trail with thousands of ghoulish, glowing pumpkins. The Heartland International Film Festival has expanded to a brand-new shorts fest.
All proceeds from this event benefit the maintenance and care of the historic Athenaeum. For over 70 years, the Historic Irvington Halloween Festival has united thousands of residents, several neighborhood organizations, and Eastside businesses with their Halloween festivities.
Participants will venture out into the community to "hunt" for spiders and other slightly scary but cool creatures. Families of students grades are recommended, but older students are also welcome.
