GFRC panels consist of a 1" thick solid concrete skin attached to a 16 gage 2" x 4" steel stud frame system. The overall thickness of this system is typically 7 ". The entire concrete skin and frame system weighs approximately 20 pounds per square foot.
The maximum size of a GFRC panel is governed by the material properties, project requirements and shipping limits. There are very few limits to the shapes and sections that can be achieved with a GFRC panel system. Some of the most ornate and decorative buildings in recent years have been made using GFRC panels. GFRC allows the designer to use deep panel sections without the weight of conventional precast. The lighter weight panels can minimize the cost of the building foundations, structural steel and panel supports.

It turned out even better than I could have imagined. Working with Ohad and his team was so easy. They are all incredibly professional, always on time, and great with communicating during all phases of the projects. Their timelines were accurate; work was not rushed but done very efficiently. The work was always done with amazing precision and Ohad was regularly coming over to check on the progress. They were all very good about asking us questions throughout the process to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted.
Another wonderful benefit of using Ohad is his diligence in working with the city to get permits. He starts right away with trying to get on the schedule and continues to check in with them in case of any earlier openings, so that the project is never held up.
Both inspections ended up being on a Saturday and Ohad never hesitated to be present for the inspectors, even if that meant sitting around waiting for them. The roof started leaking and as a result some walls were damaged. Quartz Construction came to our rescue faster than we would ever hope for. When we explained the situation to Ohad, he promised to help fast and he did. After water damage restoration, his team installed a new drywall and tile floor.
